Emily & James at Barlow Woodseats Hall
What a wonderful wedding at Barlow Woodseats Hall. The venue is nestled right in the middle of the Peak District. A stone’s throw away from Curbar Edge. Barlow Woodseats Hall provided the perfect location for this rambling loving couple. Emily and James love walking and wanted photos up on the rocks at Curbar Edge with the sweeping views over the beautiful peaks. I am so glad we decided to go. We jumped in my car after dinner and drove to Curbar Edge and wandered onto the rocks. It was so beautiful, and I loved taking photos up there!
A rustic venue
Barlow Woodseats Hall is the perfect venue for a rustic themed wedding, and lends itself to laid back vibes, totally in keeping with my style of photography. The owners are friendly and hands on. Catering is in-house and absolutely top notch! And the rooms provided a lovely rustic backdrop for getting ready photos before the beautiful outdoor ceremony.
Dogs
I don’t think I have ever been at a wedding with quite so many dogs in attendance. And as a dog owner myself, it was quite delightful to have so many dogs to photograph alongside the wedding guests. At one point I think I counted more dogs than guests. It was great! They were all very well behaved in the ceremony, and sat nicely by their owners during the wedding breakfast. I loved the laid back attitude to all the dogs in attendance. If you want your dog at your wedding, Barlow Woodseats Hall is clearly the place to be. I almost wish I’d bought mine. Though I am mot sure he would have behaved as well as these dogs!
