Laura and Steve had a very elegant wedding at Exton Park in Rutland. It was all very sophisticated and stylish and there were moments when I felt like I was on the set of Downton Abbey! Particularly when Laura put on her AMAZING dress – she looked absolutely stunning in her 1920s inspired slim fitting gown by Jenny Packham. The couple got married at St Peter and St Paul’s church on the Exton estate. It was lovely that it was so close to the venue and guests could just walk down from the church to the lawned drinks reception, which was overlooked by the majestic Exton Hall. After the ceremony, Laura and Steve stuck around the church with me for a few pictures, before walking down past the ruins to meet their guests. It was a lovely moment, walking over the brow of the hill, whilst Stand By Me, played by Already Legends, drifted over the warm summer breeze as we strolled on down. The whole wedding was planned by Beattie and Bailey. Claudia and her team worked incredibly hard all day to ensure that everything ran smoothly and myself and my second shooter Mark really enjoyed working with them. The speeches were brilliant, and I really enjoyed taking photos of all the guest reactions! The decor was elegant and white, and I loved the table plan, which rather than names, consisted of a polaroid style picture of every single one of their guest’s faces. People had to find their face in order to see where they were sitting. Laura and Steve were great fun to work with. They have lots of friends and family who clearly love them dearly and it was a great day!
